Treatment Advice
Aromatherapy
Afterwards, rest
as much as possible to
continue the relaxation process. Be careful if driving home after a
massage as
you may feel drowsy or light headed.
Do
not bathe for 6 hours, so that
the oils can penetrate the skin. Then you will gain maximum benefit
from the
treatment.
After
an aromatherapy massage it is
essential to drink plenty of water to help flush out the toxin that
have been
stimulated within the body. Failure to do so may result in a headache
as there
will be more circulating toxins prior to elimination.
Aromatic
Medicine
If
a wrap was applied to the body
as part of your treatment, try to leave this in situ for as long as
possible
(or a few hours, but a minimum of 40minutes), to enable maximum
absorption of the oils.
If
your skin becomes itchy, red or
inflamed after treatment, wash the skin with warm water and a gentle
soap to
remove residual oil and contact Katie Jarvis for advice.
Homeopathy
Fast
(do not take anything by mouth) for 15-30 minutes before and
after
taking the remedy, so that the mouth is clean, and nothing hinders the
absorption of the remedy.
Avoid
exposing the remedies and
yourself to strong smelling substances that may antidote the
remedy.
For example, mints, minty toothpaste, coffee,
spices, cigarettes.
If
you are unable to do the above
it is better to take the remedy regardless, than not to take it at all.
But you
may experience a reduced effect.
Take
the remedies as often as
indicated. Suck under the tongue where the membranes are thinnest.
If
there is a strong deterioration
of your symptoms, stop taking the remedy as it has stimulated the body
to
overcome the disease. But do not take other suppressive medication.
Allergy
Treatment
Come
for assessment having drunk
plenty of water as dehydration may result in an inaccurate result.
Take
the desensitising remedy for a
full week, whilst avoiding the item you are being desensitised for.
Follow the advice above
regarding
Homeopathic remedies.
