Aromatic Medicine
a medical use of essential
oils to bring about healing
This is an intensive and
highly effective form of
treatment for acute situations, such as injury (sprains and strains),
infections, and chronic scenarios like pain management, asthma,
digestive disorders.
It uses essential oils in a
concentrated form by means of capsules,
suppositories or pessaries or directly onto the skin. The oils are
selected according
to their chemical composition and their effect on
the body
whether to fight infection, break down mucus or reduce pain and
inflammation. These chemicals found in nature are the basis from which
modern drugs were originally derived.
It is a
highly effective and scientific form of aromatherapy (also
known as Aromatology) and is based on French Medical practices and
utilises
the
potent chemical properties of essential oils, similar to pharmaceutical
drugs but without the side effects.
